These terms govern your use of this website and the Admin, Parent, and Student portals operated by Atlantichouse International School ("the School", "we", "us"). By browsing this site, submitting an admissions application, or signing in to a portal account, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a minor (for example, as a parent/guardian using the Parent Portal or submitting an application), you confirm you are authorised to do so.

1. What this Platform is

The Platform is a school administration and e-learning system: a public website with information about the School, an online admissions application, and role-based portals for staff, parents, and students covering records, communication, billing, and e-learning. It is provided by the School for its own community; it is not a public social network or marketplace.

2. Accounts

  • Portal accounts are created and issued by the School, not through public self-registration.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use accurate information and keep it up to date; do not share your account with anyone else, including your own child, if you are a parent/guardian.
  • We may suspend or revoke access if these terms are breached, if required for security, or when someone's relationship with the School ends (e.g. a student graduates or withdraws, a staff member leaves).

3. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to access data, accounts, or areas of the Platform you are not authorised to view;
  • Probe, scan, or test the Platform's security, or attempt to disrupt or overload it;
  • Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content from the site;
  • Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a student when submitting an admissions application.

4. Admissions applications

Submitting an application through the Apply Now form does not guarantee admission. Information you submit must be accurate and complete; the School may verify it, request further documents, or decline an application at its discretion in line with its admissions policy. See our Privacy Policy for how application data is used.

5. Content you submit

Where the Platform lets you upload or post content — admissions documents, assignment submissions, discussion board posts, and similar — you retain ownership of it. By submitting it, you grant the School a licence to store, process, and use it for the purpose it was submitted for (processing an application, grading, class discussion, and record-keeping). You are responsible for content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Intellectual property

The School's name, crest, logo, and branding, and the design and original content of this website (excluding content you submit and excluding third-party libraries and services credited elsewhere on the site), belong to the School or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access — it may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. Where the Platform links to or loads content from third-party services (such as map tiles), we are not responsible for the availability or content of those services.

8. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the School is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the Platform's features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or use of the Platform will first be addressed informally by contacting the School directly.
